Well I have seen it all now.
Feeding response as usual but today Beryl stood on the edge of the nest and appeared to be pecking the chicks.
It looked a bit painful but the chicks moved themselves around to give access to the groomer. No open beak response so they were not expecting food. Beryl stayed for ages and only left when Renee arrived with food. He fed one and stood and watched. The chick raised its rear and produced a capsule which was taken and removed. Luckily for you the camera wasn’t on.
